Testimonials for Voice Over Work

As the Assistant Athletic Director at Xavier High School, I was in attendance for many senior night festivities announced by Dave Sizemore. Coaches and parents always sought out Dave to announce because of his great voice. Dave has a profound voice that carries through the stands, as he is very easy to hear and understand.

When I became the head hockey coach at Xavier, I asked Dave to become our announcer for all home games. Dave did a terrific job of announcing every penalty, goal, and assist. Dave would arrive early to each event to practice visiting team player names. He always cared to announce everything with clarity and precision.

I strongly recommend Dave Sizemore for any sporting event. You will not be disappointed.

Once a week Dave would host “The DJ Size Show” over the intercom at Xavier. He would highlight all the recent sport competitions within our community. These reports were thorough, well-organized, and included some great humor. He would come up with nicknames for our student-athletes like they do on SportsCenter. Our students loved it! He did a great job highlighting their accomplishments which is always much appreciated by the students.

Dave would also announce my home baseball games at Palmer Field each spring. He became a fixture in the press box. Dave has a passion for baseball and was a natural at announcing the game, from his pre-game introductions, to the in-game moves and plays, and always concluding with a post-game wrap up. The best part was during the 5th inning stretch, he would literally lead a sing along to “Take me out to the ball game.” Everyone in the ball park would stand and sing along! To this day people still talk about it.

There is not a topic or event that Dave is not good at announcing. He always does his research and comes prepared, and his unique and booming voice takes care of the rest!

David Sizemore (“DJ Size”), throughout his tenure at Xavier High School, was considered by all as “The Voice of Xavier High School.” Dave’s weekly sports reports over the intercom during home room are legendary at Xavier. Students and faculty alike could not wait to hear his Friday summary of the week in sports and the following week’s upcoming events. Dave also highlighted students academic successes as well as extracurricular activities outside the realm of athletics. As Xavier’s Athletic Director, I would hire Dave to work the PA during the regular season and playoffs as often as he was available. Dave is a professional as far as I am and many others are concerned. Dave’s passion, knowledge, dynamic voice and love of sports is definitely the product of his success. I personally feel Dave could make a career in this field.
